Visiting

The ESRC Research Group on Wellbeing in Developing Countries at
the University of Bath invites applications for an annual award
to support scholarly visits to Bath. The purpose of the WeD research
group is to develop a conceptual and methodological framework with
which to understand the social and cultural construction of wellbeing
in developing countries. It is particularly concerned to explore
the relationships between poverty, inequality and the subjective
quality of life of people in developing countries. WeD is currently
embarking on empirical research in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Peru and
Thailand.
The WeD awards are intended to support short visits

beyond the provided accommodation.
